An onslaught of orbs come to claim your hearts, and it is up to you cast spells to keep them at bay for as long as you can!

Spellsurge is a spelling-based arcade defender, where you must spell words to send out surges to dispel orbs coming at you with letters that match the word you typed in. Test your spelling acumen and see far you can fare!

How To Play

Here are the ABCs of Spellsurge:

A: Type in words to summon surges that clear orbs with matching letters before they reach your heart at the centre and damage you.

B: Clear diamond-shaped 'locker' orbs to stop them from locking you into including the same letter in the next 5 words you spell!

If all the letters in your word are used to pop orbs, special orbs can spawn:

C: Clear hexagonal multiplier orbs before they disappear to gain a score multiplier bonus. This resets whenever you take damage.

D: Clear freezer orbs to temporarily freeze orbs within its radius to give yourself a moment of reprieve.

E: Clear heart orbs to gain health!

Last but not least, watch out for spell surges every so often that summon an increased onslaught of orbs to kill you!

Other Notes

The WebGL edition of Spellsurge currently does not support the audio reactive rings featued in the Standalone Windows build of the game. For the best experience, please download the Standalone Windows build.

If you would like to clear your save data, type in 'Clear Save Data' when on the Main Menu.

In the Standalone Windows build, type in 'Quit' to close the game.
